MAC Tendertones

Ten lovely new colors ladies!

I'm definately loving Hush, Hush, as I said in my previous post. Nudes are just my thing :)

Now online at maccosmetics.com/!

Thanks for reading!

Summer Lovin'

Come on guys, you can't deny it's summer (even though there was some recent weather fluctuation here in crazy San Diego)! And how do you prepare for summer? Buy some awesome, new, summer related beauty products, DUH! Just kidding, but here's a list of products that I'm sure I'll be loving for summer.

Neutrogena Color Boosting Sunblock SPF 30

This stuff will protect your skin, and give that amazing summer glow that you know you'll love. It's also sweatproof and waterproof, which is a must have for summer.

CoverGirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara

I've never used this stuff, but I heard it's pretty amazing, and now it comes in waterproof! Perfect for summer, when all you need are your sexy lashes and a bikini!

MAC Tendertone Lip Balm SPF 12

These are limited edition from MAC so get them while you can. They're super creamy, and have SPF, and they come in cute little jars, so they're perfect for on the go. I'm really loving the color "Hush, Hush".

Too Faced Caribbean In A Compact- Sun Bunny

I have this thing in Snow Bunny, and I absolutely adore it! Sun Bunny is perfect for summer for you to achieved that bronzed look, especially for you girls who don't tan as quickly as you wish you. I'm the complete opposite (I tan super fast), but still might have to get this. Any bronzer would be great, I just really like this one.

Supermodel by Victoria's Secret Shimmering Fragrance Mist

I was just browsing and I came across this. Now, we all know Supermodel smells amazing, and now with a hint of shimmer, it's perfect for those summer nights out on the town, or just a day to the beach. Smell good, and sparkle and shine!

That's it! Your beauty must haves of summer. A few other things I might suggest are powder foundation, since liquid would be way to heavy and gross for the summer. I also think that every girl should find her fun summer (or year round) fragrance, whether it be Supermodel, or something else (mine is Funny! by Moschino). Whatever happens this summer, the only thing that matters is that you have fun and stay protected (in all ways heavenly possible)!

Favorite YouTube Makeup Channels

I've been talking about this for a while, and I finally came around to doing it. So here's the list of my favorite YouTube Makeup Channels, and a quick synopsis about what they do and why I like them!

1. EnkoreMakeup- You know you've heard of him. He has the best reviews, great tips, and makeup application advice. He's the ultimate guru, and once in a while he has totally fun projects and ideas too. Check him out (especially if you have a broken eyeshadow, like I did).

2. fafinettex3- This girl is so adorable, and she does super cute makeup looks, and she makes them look easy too. Her hauls are always fun to watch, and she's not all MAC, so if you use drugstore products, I'm sure you and this girl can relate.

3. julieg713- She's so sweet, her voice isn't annoying (which is a big pet peeve of mine), and she does really awesome makeup looks, and really cool experiments where she tests out a product and then gives a review. It's pretty cool :).

4. MakeUpVideosAndMore- Her looks are sooo pretty and she's so upbeat and fun to watch, you just have to check her out.

5. panacea81- Come on, everybody knows Lauren. She's totally famous, dude, and for good reason. Check it out, no joke. Enough said.

6. pinkiecharm- Flat out, best reviews out there.

7. sweetayes- I like her cause she's young, like me, so I can totally relate, and she does really simple tutorials, and she has like the BEST hauls. It's amazing. Too bad, she's not posting videos as often as she used to. But she's still good, and I think she has a blog too, so you can also look at that. She's definitely one of my faves.

Ok, there's more, but I'm to lazy to write about them, so here's a list with no description (maybe a little side note):

aboywearingmakeup (funny!)
amy04 (not one of my faves)
CaliforniaCosmetics (fun, girly looks)
d0rksta (eh, she's alright)
dustbunnies77 (good reviews)
eyelovemac
haolepinobb
itsliz89 (not one of my faves)
lusci0uzlayd33 (like her, but she's never on)
MakeupByRenRen (she's good)
Makeupsquare (she's alright)
pursebuzz (cute)
reecespieces928
steffistricks (she's so adorable)
stephielaclac (never posts anymore, but old vidoes are good)
xsparkage (a lot of people like her, but she's ok to me)

That's it you guys.
I hope you don't get addicted to YouTube like I did! (Ok, now I sound like I have no life, I do guys, I just really like makeup!)

Review: Stila Covertible Color

So apparently "covertible" isn't a word? Interesting...

Anyways, I thought I'd do a review on this thing, since I've got time and whatnot. Ok weird, "whatnot" is a word, and "covertible" isn't. Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked.

Stila Covertible Color, $24.00

Stila's ingenious lipstick and blush-in-one proves to be irresistible. As seen in In Style's Best Beauty Buys 2008! This versatile favorite brightens cheeks and lips with creamy, translucent color. Tap onto cheeks and press onto lips. The sheer tint adds an inherent glow to the cheeks while lips bloom with fresh, radiant color. Our two-in-one compact holds the key to easy, monochromatic makeup. A must-have in every stila girl's kit.

Product: 5 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Price: 2.5 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5

So this stuff is pretty expensive. Like, a MAC blush is like, what? $17.50. I mean, $24.00?? Seriously? All Stila stuff is not exactly for those on a budget anyway, but still... But pricing aside, I got to say, I like this stuff. I have it in the color, Peony, and it looks like super dark in the pan, but it goes on kinda sheer, and it's like the perfect flush for me. I use a foundation brush to apply these, because they're cream, but I hear a lot of people apply this with their fingers, and that's cool too, whatever floats your boat.
The packaging is totally adorable, it says Stila on the front, and it has flowers, and the best part is the color of the compact is like the color of the blush. So when you're searching through your extensive makeup collection, the exact color you're looking for can be seen from far away. I like that. It also has a mirror on the inside for those of you who enjoy things on-the-go.
I suggest that everybody own at least one of these. I can use it basically everyday, whether it's on its own, or as kind of a base for a powder blush. Oh and you can use it for your lips too, but I think I'll stick to Carmex and Lipglass (just so you know, Carmex = Love/Addiction). I think it's awesome, but hey, that's just my opinion. Go check them out for yourself. Available at sephora.com, Sephora stores, stilacosmetics.com, and basically anywhere that sells Stila (duh).

BTW- Pinkiecharm did a review on this too, and she kinda said the same stuff as me (actually I said the same stuff has her, but whatever), and here's the video if you want to watch it. She does a lot of great reviews, if you love makeup, you should definitely subscribe to her channel.

Drugstore Haul

Sorry! I haven't posted in the longest time, not that it really matters, nobody really reads my blog :(. Just kidding! But anyways, I went to Longs Drugs today and Maybelline products were buy one get one free, so I got two things!

-Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation, $10.00

I really like this stuff! The Kabuki brush it came with sucks, but it's ok because I have my Coastal Scents Pink Kabuki which rocks! I just tap it out of it's sifter thing, stick the brush in there, and then swirl it all over my face to set my Hyper Real foundation. It goes on really evenly and I can't even feel it. You just have to make sure that you don't use too much, and that you blend well. Overall, I really like the product and the packaging, I just think the only bad thing is that it was kind of hard for me to pick a shade. In Hyper Real I'm NC300, and in the Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation I'm Light 5. I don't know if that's right, but when I put it on my face, it blended well, so I think it's ok. I recommend this, since it's cheap and useful.

-Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara, $8.00, but I got it free!

I got this because my Clinique High Impact Mascara could not curl my lashes at all. It gave amazing volume, but the curl was not there, and since my lashes are basically stick straight, that was a big no no. So, I got this thinking it would curl and define my lashes without clumps and make them nice and natural. So far, I like it. It does what it says, which is define your lashes with no clumps, but it's not that amazing at holding a curl. It's doing better than the Clinique one, but I'm still on the fence. I just really need a mascara that will curl until the cows come home. I don't really care about length or volume, even though this mascara gives amazing length. If you just need something natural that will make your lashes longer, this is for you, but I'm still on the search for my HG mascara. I might have to go back to BadGal, but the brush is so huge, and I'm a klutz, and it's just so freaking expensive.

Ok, there's my two cents. And BTW- I got one thing from Naughty Nauticals but I want to go back and get one pigment and a Dazzleglass so when I do, I'll post that stuff. Check back around June, I'll post WAY more in the summer, but right now I'm super busy, so just hang tight!
