So Your Going On Vacation...

Well... long time no update! Since I don't have school, I think my excuse this time will be... how about the 100 degree weather here in San Diego. I'm sweating up a storm!! Just kidding, I don't really sweat (thank goodness), but still, MAN IT'S HOT!!!!! Which I guess is good, because that reminds me that it's summer, and that means VACATIONS!!! So this summer, I'm going to Fort Lauderdale (Florida), Chicago (Illinois), Las Vegas (Nevada), and Cabo (Mexico). Oooh, vacations galore. And of course, along with vacations comes PACKING. And not everybody can bring their whole traincase on vacation, so us girls gotta tone it down. Here's what I bring on vacation, hopefully it will help somebody out there. Enjoy!

Face

Revlon ColorStay Concealer- Being a teenager, concealer is a must have because every time one pimple goes away, another one forms. It's seriously a never ending battle. Concealer helps me conceal my blemishes (duh), and I like this one because it's specifically for pimples and stuff like that. I don't really need undereye concealer, but I'm sure this one can be used for that too.

Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15- Besides the few blemishes on my face, there's nothing really wrong with my skin, so I don't think I'll be needing a real foundation. Tinted moisturizer is perfect because it gives me the slightest amount of color/coverage and it has SPF, so it protects my skin. Plus, this is much easier to travel with than a glass bottle of foundation, like my MAC Hyper Real SPF 15 and I don't exactly need a brush to apply it. AND, I don't have to bring moisturizer, cause it's already one! Damn, so many great things about tinted moisturizer.

Benefit Georgia- It's an amazing blush and all over color. I can't even explain it, but it seriously just makes me glow, and it doesn't even have shimmer. SO much better than bronzer in my opinion. I haven't touched my Too Faced Caribbean In A Compact since my mom gave this to me. Amazing, and it comes with a brush! The only con is that it is kinda bulky, but I'll make room for it.

I guess for those of you who need coverage, you can bring a powder or something, but I don't need it, so that's all for face products. I guess you can also throw Fix+ into your bag, but I really try to be as compact as possible.

Eyes

CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara Waterproof- Mascara is necessary for me, and this one is waterproof, so when I go to the beach or swimming and stuff, it will hold up, instead of making me look like I have a black eye.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Zero- Black eyeliner that's smudge proof. Needless to say, this is a must have.

Neutral Eyeshadows- This depends on whatever you have. I'd either bring a MAC Eyeshadow Quad with a bunch of neutrals (Orb, Naked Lunch, Satin Taupe, and Bronze would be my picks) or any other group of neutral eyeshadows. For me, it would be my Stila On-The-Go quad. Whatever you have, as long as it's a lot of shadows in a compact space. Space is key. Plus, who needs to do a bunch of wild looks on vacation? Stick to neutrals.

I'd also throw in a base like Loreal's Decrease or Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Lips

Carmex- This can be replaced by MAC's Lip Conditioner (I believe it has SPF) or just plain old chapstick. Anything to keep your lips moisturized.

MAC Slimshines- It's like a lipgloss and lipstick in one, AND it's slim. MUST HAVE for vacation. I have it in Gentle Simmer, but I seriously need to get more.

In addition, I would bring my Boots No7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes because it removes makeup, cleanses, tones, and moisturizes. Sooo easy, cause then I don't have to bring all these face washes and what not.

Well, that's all I'd bring. I'd probably need brushes too, but I'm too lazy to go into detail about that. You get the idea. I'd store it all in a cute, roomy makeup bag, instead of a traincase, cause those are easier to travel with. I'm sure there's other beauty necessities, like eye creams, primers, and whatever, but I'm just sticking to essentials, cause that's the kinda girl I am. If you have a complicated beauty routine, that's fine, but I just stick to the basics, and it's always worked for me.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great summer!

MAC and Drugstore Haul

So I went to a MAC freestanding store this weekend, and I got some stuff, and I also went to Walmart and got a couple of things there too! My one disappointment was that they ran out of 15 pallets at the MAC store, so I had to put my pans back into my empties. Ugh, they better get a new shipment soon. Anyways, here's what I got!

MAC Eyeshadow in Naked Lunch, $10.50

This shadow is described as minimal pink with shimmer, and it's just the most gorgeous color ever, whether it's for the entire lid, or as a highlight!

MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe, $10.50

This is a great crease color and goes perfectly with Naked Lunch. I bought it for a look I'm gonna do for my cousins wedding. I'm super excited. This color is described as taupe brown with silvery bronze shimmer. SOO GORGEOUS!

MAC 3 Lashes

These lashes and long and luxurious, but kinda natural looking at the same time, and the MAC MA already cut them for me to match my eye shape, so I don't even have to worry about that!

Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara Waterproof, $6.97

I haven't tried this yet, and I've heard mixed reviews about this, but I just really needed a waterproof mascara for summer, so I thought I might as well give this a try. Hopefully it can hold a curl and won't budge.

Salon Perfect Eyelash Adhesive, $2.97

I was considering getting the one from MAC, but I'm trying to save money, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Here's a pic, sorry for the crappy lighting!

That's it! I can't wait to try out all my new products and go to the wedding!

Drugstore Haul

Sorry! I haven't posted in the longest time, not that it really matters, nobody really reads my blog :(. Just kidding! But anyways, I went to Longs Drugs today and Maybelline products were buy one get one free, so I got two things!

-Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation, $10.00

I really like this stuff! The Kabuki brush it came with sucks, but it's ok because I have my Coastal Scents Pink Kabuki which rocks! I just tap it out of it's sifter thing, stick the brush in there, and then swirl it all over my face to set my Hyper Real foundation. It goes on really evenly and I can't even feel it. You just have to make sure that you don't use too much, and that you blend well. Overall, I really like the product and the packaging, I just think the only bad thing is that it was kind of hard for me to pick a shade. In Hyper Real I'm NC300, and in the Maybelline Mineral Power Powder Foundation I'm Light 5. I don't know if that's right, but when I put it on my face, it blended well, so I think it's ok. I recommend this, since it's cheap and useful.

-Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara, $8.00, but I got it free!

I got this because my Clinique High Impact Mascara could not curl my lashes at all. It gave amazing volume, but the curl was not there, and since my lashes are basically stick straight, that was a big no no. So, I got this thinking it would curl and define my lashes without clumps and make them nice and natural. So far, I like it. It does what it says, which is define your lashes with no clumps, but it's not that amazing at holding a curl. It's doing better than the Clinique one, but I'm still on the fence. I just really need a mascara that will curl until the cows come home. I don't really care about length or volume, even though this mascara gives amazing length. If you just need something natural that will make your lashes longer, this is for you, but I'm still on the search for my HG mascara. I might have to go back to BadGal, but the brush is so huge, and I'm a klutz, and it's just so freaking expensive.

Ok, there's my two cents. And BTW- I got one thing from Naughty Nauticals but I want to go back and get one pigment and a Dazzleglass so when I do, I'll post that stuff. Check back around June, I'll post WAY more in the summer, but right now I'm super busy, so just hang tight!

Clinique & MAC Haul

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a long time, I've been super busy lately, but I guess not busy enough to sneak some more makeup into my collection :)

- Clinique High Impact Mascara, $14.00

Well, after using BadGal Lash for three months (that's how long you're supposed to keep your mascara), I figured it was time to try a new one. I've never owned anything Clinique before, but their mascaras seemed decent, and not expensive like Dior or Lancome. I really liked how clean the brush looked, there were no mascara clumps on the brush or anything. I tried it today, and I just loved it! It gave me that dramatic look that I love for my eyelashes, and I think it's better than BadGal because the brush is smaller, so it's not as messy. Don't get me wrong, BadGal was great, but I think I've found my new love :)

- MAC Gold Spill Mineralize Skinfinish, $24.50

Ok, so I know this is discontinued, but I swaped NARS Crazed blush for it on Makeup Alley. This is my first Mineralize Skinfinish, and I am really loving it (geez, I love everything)! It's this really nice golden bronzy color, and it adds the perfect amount of summer "glow" to my cheeks. Being a Cali girl, that's exactly what I'm looking for, even when it's not summer. It is pretty sheer, and there is some sparkle, but that's just what I love about it, because I love to sparkle and shine, but not be too over the top or crazy.

So that's it. Not a big haul, but good enough to share, I think. The pictures I got were from the Clinique website and Google. I would have taken them myself, but in all honesty, I was too lazy. Sorry :) So I'll talk to you guys later! Keep checking back. My next post will probably be on my favorite YouTube makeup channels! Ooh, exciting :)
